Tips for successfully meeting your health resolutions in 2025:

 

Our motto is easy to remember: Set Simple Specific Goals.

Set: Consider your ultimate goal. Then create a list of action steps (smaller goals)  that help lead you to your ultimate goal.

Simple: One key to success is creating simple steps because simple actions are often  sustainable. You want actions that you can do repeatedly over a long period of time.   You can create sustainable steps by planning actions that are realistic for your personality, situation and  lifestyle. You are more likely to achieve your goals when you create  steps that are realistic for you because it will be easier for you to repeat those actions over a long period of time.  

Specific:  Being specific is important because it makes your goal become clearer and helps identify the actions you need to take.

Many people set yearly goals to lose weight.  Here are examples of Simple Specific Goals that help may help achieve the goal of losing weight:

Walk for 30 minutes a day, three days a week, while  documenting  your results in  a fitness app.

Add one serving of fruit to breakfast every day for the next month

Add one serving of vegetables to lunch and dinner every day for the next month.

Making sure you get eight hours of sleep every night, lying down no later than 10:30 p.m. and turning off cell phone notifications.

Limit alcohol to no more than two drinks per week for the next 60 days.
